Ladies
Jessica Dille: The quintessential big sister Jessica has the uncanny ability to remember every transgression Ian's committed, since early childhood. (How else would Lindy know about a certain "Slurpee incident" in the family Vanogan?). But, Jessica, an experienced world traveler, has also expanded Ian's cultural horizons and love of ethnic delicacies. A Bay Area native, Jessica currently lives in New York (where she once let Ian sleep on her couch for over four months).
Jocelyn Alton: Ever since Lindy was a toddler, older sister Jocelyn has kept an eye out for her (once even sternly questioning a nurse as to whether a sucker offered to an allergenic, two year old Lindy, "contained nuts.") To this day, Lindy knows that, should she ever need it, Jocelyn has her back. Currently, Jocelyn lives in West Palm, Florida (with feline companions Cleo and Ant), and offers family and friends top notch explorations into the Everglades.
Nicole Alton-Moore: Somehow, Lindy's younger sister, Nicole, survived a childhood of (often warranted, says Lindy) ridicule and abuse from her two older sisters, to become the family's key communicator. She instantly knows all that goes on within the Alton clan, disseminates information at will (and is sometimes called upon to quell any family drama, should it arise). Nicole lives in Worcester, Mass. with her husband John and two cats Bella and Brady.
Gents
Ken Dille: If big brothers were precious metals, Ken would be the gold standard. Over the years, their relationship has evolved from a middling sibling rivalry (sprinkled with the intermittent, not wholly undeserved, pummeling) and co-conspirator mischievousness, to one of close confidants, training partners—even occasional business associates. Ken lives in Austin with his wife, Sarah, and three year old daughter Nora.
Steven Wheeler: Ever since a memorable (Steven might argue, somewhat illegal) tackle in middle school football, Steven's remained one of Ian's closest friends. They ran cross country together throughout high school in Southlake, Texas, attended UT-Austin as roommates, and now race together on the same cycling team, Super Squadra. Steven lives in Austin, as well, with his wife Nina, who's due with their first child in January.
Rob Alton: The Alton family's youngest sibling (and only boy), Rob remains Lindy's cohort in practical (and sometimes impractical) jokes—offering spot on impersonations of their mother, but also once honoring her with a hip hop duet (to the tune of Ice Ice Baby) as a Christmas gift. With the rest of her family spread across the country, Lindy feels fortunate to have her brother Rob here in Austin, where he plays bass full time for the Statesboro Revue.
