Lindy and Ian first met at a bicycle race held in the Fort Davis Mountains of West Texas. Ian's best friends and teammates nonchalantly urged him to go introduce himself (by excitedly waving and pointing in the direction of Lindy).
Lindy and her teammate, playing the "who's cute?" game on the long drive home, concurred Ian fit the bill. The two ladies celebrated the agreement with a high five.
Shortly after that (not entirely by chance) initial encounter Lindy and Ian started dating. Soon, the couple discovered they shared more interests than just riding bikes (and racing bikes, and talking about bikes, and bike races, and bike racers, a lot).
Lindy learned that Ian rarely took himself too seriously (case in point, he was willing to wear fish net stockings in order to pull off an authentic Halloween costume), and that he would cook her dinner pretty much any time, as long as it involved some sort of open flame.
Currently, Ian is a freelance journalist who works for a variety of local, regional, and national publications. Lindy is a custom picture framer, and works at Gentry Custom Frames in downtown Austin.
